Bicheno Food and Wine Festival

Tassie's best little food and wine festival with great musical entertainment. Kick back on the lawn to great music and celebrate everything from the east coast. Amazing food, views, exceptional wine, delicious beers, and spirits! Saturday 19th November, 10.30am - 5.30pm.

MONA FOMA

MONA FOMA is an annual music and arts festival held in January in Tasmania, Australia, curated by Violent Femmes member Brian Ritchie. Launceston 17–19 February, Nipaluna/Hobart 24–26 February 2023.

From tiny beginnings the Mansfield Lantern Festival now regularly attracts more than a thousand festival-goers. Ahead of the event, free lantern-making workshops are available to encourage locals and visitors to get creative and get involved.

Dark MOFO

This provocative midwinter festival was created by the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) and began in 2013. Celebrating dark and ancient pagan rituals, attendees will revel in extreme merry-making and create memories that will last a lifetime. Everywhere you turn in Hobart (and beyond), there is music, art, food, and film that explore the links between ancient and modern mythology, dark and light, birth and death. Dark MOFO takes place in June each year.

Tasmania's Farmer's Markets

Salamanca Markets

The Salamanca Market is one of Tasmania's most visited tourist attractions and has won many awards for excellence. The market extends the full length of Hobart's historic Salamanca Place, from the silos end to the top of Davey Street. You will find a huge selection of locally made products and you can meet the makers, the artisans, the designers and producers. It runs each Saturday from 8.30 am to 3 pm, rain, hail or shine.
