If you're a woman and looking to join an all-female cycling holiday, it's now possible to do so on two of Australia's most popular bike routes.

 

We have expanded our cycling range and launched two new, self-guided, women’s edition cycle tours, both of which will be escorted by well-known female cycle bloggers. These bike trips explore two of Australia's most popular bike routes: the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and the Central West Cycle Trail.

 

 

Both of the new women’s edition itineraries follow the same popular format as other Australian Cycle Tours itineraries, with luggage transfers, bike hire and accommodation logistics taken care of.

 

It's the ideal experience for women who are keen to explore Australia by bike. Our women’s only cycling adventures give you the opportunity to engage in bike-riding experiences in a safe and encouraging environment.

 

 The 7-day Women's Brisbane Valley Cycle combines the Brisbane Valley and Kingaroy Kilkivan Rail Trails into one unforgettable cycle journey.

 

 
On the 300km Women's Brisbane Valley Cycle, cyclists will be accompanied by cycle blogger, Gail Rehbein, whose enthusiasm for cycling is infectious. Gail was formerly an ambassador for Bicycle Queensland and her cycling blog, A Bike 4 All Seasons, promotes the physical and mental wellbeing brought about by cycling. 

 

There’ll be opportunities to take her characteristically slower and more reflective approach to bike riding on this journey, allowing time to reflect on, engage with and appreciate the natural landscape and the people you meet along the way.

 

Travelling with Gail, cyclists will gain a deeper appreciation for the journey - the views of rural Queensland with its sweeping valleys and rugged mountains, the opportunities to sample beer and bakery treats along the route and visits to historic towns and villages along the way.

 

The 7-day Women's Central West Cycle Trail tour takes a circuit route from Gulgong through the charming Central West NSW towns of Wellington, Ballimore, Mendooran and Dunedoo.

 

Cycle blogger and long distance e-bike tourer, Linda Cash, will share her passion for sustainability and living simply with participants on the Women's Central West Cycle.  Linda is the author of A Girl and her eBike blog, although she is equally well known for her Ocean Pool Odyssey, on which she and two friends cycled more than 1800 km along the NSW coast on e-bikes, visiting as many ocean pools along the way as they could find, to raise funds for charity and to promote the benefits of e-bike touring.

 

Pedal lonely roads and quiet forest trails with Linda and your fellow cyclists, and enjoy the sweeping views as you explore the historic towns of NSW’s Central West. Handpicked accommodation along the way includes a private cottage, a now unlicensed hotel where you can BYO, as well as a combination of country pubs and family-run motels.
 

The 7-day Women's Brisbane Valley Cycle tour departs Ipswich on 14 September 2023. It includes 6 nights of accommodation, bike hire (e-bikes on request), luggage transfers, use of navigational app and route maps, and a return transfer from Kilkivan to Ipswich on the last day. 

 

The 7-day Women's Central West Cycle Trail tour departs Gulgong on 13 May, 2023. It includes 6 nights of accommodation, bike hire (e-bikes on request), luggage transfers, use of navigational app and route maps.
 
Both dedicated woman's cycle tours are self-guided and participants will have the opportunity to cycle with the tour escort.
